Mighty Birthday

 MNE
rock'n cuteness since the 80's yo!
Say Not, "I have found the path of the soul." Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.

Much love to my Wife. I'm so thankful for the woman She is. She's my best friend. Happy Birthday!

Wise-ly done!

David Wise has once again won gold at X games. the super pipe shredder became the first person ever to throw back to back 1260's. this young man is a joy to watch. regardless of his youth, he is a husband and a father, making his accomplishments a team effort. speaking of team, this Reno native, who skis Tahoe, is a member of the 4FRNT family. 4FRNT is an awesome company based out of Salt Lake City. Congratulations David on another outstanding performance. as a skier, i really appreciate where you are taking the sport. the run starts with a 720, followed by a switch tumble flat 1080 (sick), that gave way to the combo of double cork 1260's, it's absolutely insane. he gifted Aspen the two best runs in the pipe. David was right, last night was his night. good show D dub.

Cinema Paradis-OH

Louis-Felix Paradis is a Canadian snowboarder who was finally rewarded with a gold medal at X games in aspen yesterday. check out this ridiculous footage from his real snow video, the creativity is absurd. the cinematographer was on point as well, giving viewers some awesome content with inventive depictions and angles. the rail work is so fun to watch with this rider. his physical abilities and the uncanny knack he possess to see such technical yet playful lines, gaps and transfers in urban terrain is just stupid good. if you want to check out more of the action click here. i'm interested in the slope-style and big air comps (both skiers & boarders). super-pipe is always gnarly too. if you want some more from this production team and you should, peep dejavumovie.com.

(Dirty) Frank Ocean Remix

fans of Outkast finally get a reunion, sort of, thanks to a new remix. Big Boi drops a verse in the (dirty) remix of Frank Ocean's, Pink Matter. his addition provides us with the hook we've been wanting to bite, Andre 3000 paired with his OG partner in crime. rumor has it this was in the works for the release of Channel Orange. there were scheduling issues, sir luscious was working on his latest solo effort, that temporarily derailed this collaboration. however it manifested, i'm definitely glad it's available now. check it out.

Yo La Tengo

Fade was released earlier in the new year and i'm stoked on how great this album is. it feels as if Yo La Tengo has re-tapped into their yesteryear sounds, while freshening it up simultaneously. i'm particularly fond of the opening track Ohm (video below), as well as the third track, Well You Better. ten crafty songs knit their way into a tidy 46 minutes. the time line should not discourage you, Fade is not lacking. one of new jersey's finest has once again created a record that allows us to look out, into the everything, from their keen point of view. they are currently on tour and will be playing a free show at amoeba's in san francisco this saturday, january 19th, at 3pm!

if you're really digging on the track shown above, check out this link and click on tweak.

DJ Focus

Kelvin Doe is a self taught, 15 year old young man haling from Sierra Leone. he is an inspirational engineer/DJ, who channels his passion and immense capabilities into the needs of his community. what he lacks, in terms of access to supplies and modern convenience, he more than compensates for with his youthful genius. not only does Kelvin, aka DJ Focus, possess a creative, inventive and resourceful mind, he has an astoundingly receptive heart. Kelvin is wise beyond his years, imagining a world without voices like DJ Focus is no fun. enjoy the video and peep THNKRtv on youtube.
