Brew Detective: Mikkeller SF

Freddy Murkury | Mikkeller 

Beer is Good and Freddy Murkury is really good. A clever name and an awesome label never hurts either. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mikkeller makes incredible beer; they're one of the better breweries out west. Mikkeller Bars are genuine with their concoctions of beer, as well as, in creating an aesthetic. They thrive and need not the fanfare that other breweries fawn for or receive. Anytime I find myself in The City's downtown I try to stop in for an adult beverage and some delicious grub. On Saturdays they offer a limited run of pint cans in four packs, you have to check in in advance to know what will be on hand. 

Freddy's a New England style Imperial IPA. This special Hop Series release was brewed with Simcoe and Mosaic hops. I scored these pints in San Francisco, but they were brewed and canned in San Diego. Enjoy beer responsibly.  9% ABV
